LOCAL MP, Michelle Donelan, has launched a Ukraine Prize Draw, raising money for the Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC) Humanitarian Appeal.
There are almost 20 prizes up for grabs, which have been kindly donated by local businesses, including Melksham Town FC, Whitehall Garden Centre and Boomerang Family Play Centre.
“For just £5 per entry, you will have the chance to win these prizes in a draw,” explains the MP, “which will take place after the deadline of midnight, Monday 16th May.
“For example, if you donate £10 you get two entries, if you donate £15, three entries, £20 four entries etc. This will put you in with the chance to win everything from a season ticket to Melksham Town F.C. to an LG Mini beam Nano Projector to cinema tickets and a champagne afternoon tea for two.
“In partnership with Melksham Independent News, I have asked local organisations and companies to build on Wiltshire’s charitable history and come together to support those fleeing the conflict in Ukraine in desperate circumstances. I have been overwhelmed by the local response so far and I would encourage anyone who can to follow the link and donate to this fantastic cause.
“I also want to recognise those businesses who have stepped up and donated these incredible prizes: Whitehall Garden Centre, Nestlé, Chippenham Town FC, Sarah-Jayne’s Café, Melksham Town FC, The Bridge Tea Rooms, The Raj, Reel Cinema, The Tollgate Inn, Morrisons, Alun Crockford, Iford Manor, Lowden Garden Centre and Boomerang Family Play Centre.”
