New diner opens at Boomerang Family Play Centre

Boomerang Family Play Centre has opened The Reef Family Diner, a one-of-a-kind under the sea themed diner exclusive for families where kids’ indoor play is free. 

The diner, situated within Boomerang on Bowerhill in Melksham, is open to families on Fridays and Saturdays up to 9pm. Opening times will be extending in the coming weeks. The Reef Family Diner will bring families and friends together, comfortably seating 60 to 70 people.

The idea for the diner came from Gary Cooke, owner of Boomerang and his management team.

“We’ve had the idea for years and now finally managed to complete it,” said Gary. “We think it’s perfect for all families as it’s been built with families in mind.

“Ultimately, we’ve fantastic play facilities for children of all ages, a menu catering for all dietary needs, seating for babies, toddlers, tearaways and teens and the best themed eating area, we think, outside of Disneyland!  We even have an outdoor seating area with lovely views across the Wiltshire countryside.”

Boomerang has the region’s largest play area, your children can play for free when you eat in the diner; this is subject to all guests having a main meal each.

“Why not come and immerse you and your family in the enchanting ambiance of the Reef Family Diner, featuring a captivating Under the Sea theme?” continued Gary. “Step into an indoor diner adorned with vibrant artwork inspired by Finding Nemo, skilfully crafted by the talented artist, Olly from Gage Graphics.

“To add our unique touch, we’ve incorporated dolphins gracefully swimming in the ceiling and even installed a life-sized rowing boat hanging overhead.

“Where can you go to eat as a family where you feel comfortable taking the children and where the children actually want to go? Where can you go where there are multiple things to entertain the kids, whilst you can relax on your own or with your family and friends in a safe and child-friendly environment?

“The food and drink available at the Reef Family Diner is what you would expect when going out with a young family – good family favourites such as burgers, pizzas, pasta dishes and pub type main meals, all at affordable prices.

“Additionally, there is also good selection of starters, puddings, and a good variety of children’s meals. Specials will also be available and these will be seasonal and, where possible, locally sourced. Lots of the items are homemade throughout the menu.

“The diner is also fully licensed, so adults will be able to enjoy a wide choice of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks with their meals.”

Gary added, “Remember, if you eat in our restaurant, your first activity with us will be free. Additional activities from Softplay, Bounce House Trampolining and our new Crazy Golf will be half price! That’s a second activity from as little as £1.75 per person, subject to age and rules of play.”

Deposits for all restaurant bookings will be £5 per person, paid in advance. All deposit costs will be deducted when ordering.
