A NEW kissing gate has been installed at Shaw Playing Field after receiving funding from Melksham Area Board.
Clerk for Melksham Without Parish Council, Teresa Strange said, “Following requests from less mobile residents to replace the old V stile to the rear of Shaw Playing Field, a new kissing gate was installed in early March.
“The kissing gate was funded by Melksham Area Board and installed by volunteers from West Wilts Ramblers, with the landowners on either side fully supportive; providing improved access to the Right of Way.
“Many thanks to Paul Millard, Wiltshire Council’s Rights of Way officer who pulled it all together, and the volunteers who worked physically hard that day. Fantastic teamwork!”
