MELKSHAM News has welcomed a new member to its reporting team.
Dean Shaw, has a journalism degree and has previously worked on the sports section of The Salisbury Journal. He has also worked as a tourism officer, promoting Wiltshire, and more recently has been a Police Community Support Officer.
Dean said, “I’m delighted to have this opportunity to work for Melksham News.
“Working for a newspaper is something I really wanted to get back into after three years in Wiltshire Police. It’s a newspaper which has a good reputation and plays a big part in Melksham.
“I have only been here just over a week but the welcome I have had from colleagues and the people of Melksham has been excellent. I’m looking forward to the future and the challenges the role brings.”
Dean has replaced Jason Lock who has left to work for the West Briton newspaper in Cornwall.
