A summer timetable for Melksham’s public transport is now available from various places around town.
The edition includes the timetables of all six public transport operators in Melksham. It also features extra pages with day out suggestions, such as taking the train to Weymouth and the bus to Bradford-on-Avon. It covers transport to airports and ferry ports, and much more.
The timetable can be collected from the Tourist Information Centre, the library and the offices of Melksham Without and Melksham Town Council during their normal opening hours.
Chair of the Melksham Transport User Group, Graham Ellis, said, “Changes this summer are quite small but it’s important for people to be aware ahead of time. Some buses are retimed a few minutes earlier and for the summer and autumn, roadworks in Bath mean that Faresaver’s service 271, 272 and 273 will not be able to reach the bus station. That means that for appointments at the Royal United Hospital, people will need to walk across Bath or make other arrangements.
“Our winter edition was a huge success and we ran out. We doubled the print run this time. Our thanks to Faresaver and to the West Wiltshire Rail User Group in helping with the print run.”
