For the first time, the gallery at the Art House Cafe has been taken over by one artist, local painter Ken Steadman.
A late starter to painting, Ken was a trained monumental sculptor and letter-cutter in stone by trade. He is a member of Cloth Road Arts and the Omniart Group, based in Bulkington.
Ken said, “My paintbrush is a visual way to a deeper level of the mind.”
Pattie Lockett, a volunteer at the Art House Cafe said, “Working mainly in acrylic, his artwork is quite surreal; sometimes serious, sometimes humorous and very often quirky. His paintings can make you think, ‘The Pattern of Life’, make you smile, ‘Storm in a Teacup’ and make you look, really look, ‘Breakfast Table.’
“Come into the cafe and see what you think. In Ken’s paintings there is something for everyone to enjoy and appreciate.”
