Work on the new Splashpad and phase 1 improvements for King George V Playing Fields began this week.
The town council reports, “For all those using the area, there will be a number of sections that will not be accessible whilst works are being undertaken. There are currently three planned site areas for the works as indicated on the attached picture:
“Blue: The area highlighted in Blue will be the core site and will be closed for public access for the full duration of the works.
“Red: The area highlighted in red will be closed for a short period during the build whilst we upgrade the water supply. We are awaiting confirmation of the dates this area will be closed for access.
“Purple: The area highlighted in purple will be closed off, in parts, during the build. As parts of this area are key for access, we will aim to keep disruption to a minimum and the site area will be adapted to allow access as much as possible.
“If you have any questions or queries regarding the improvements to King George V Playing Fields, please contact our community engagement officer, Debbie Bentley, on 01225 704187 or email debbie.bentley@melkshamtown.co.uk.”
