Following their recent skydiving, Melksham Motor Spares were firmly back on terra firma on Sunday 6th September as they continued their fundraising efforts for Dorothy House with a 52 mile sponsored cycle ride, organised by the Frome depot branch manager, Ben Gale.
The company says, “Starting from the Frome depot and doing a circular route to include a visit to the Melksham branch, five members of Melksham Motor Spares set out in glorious sunshine. Ben Gale, Phil Dodd, Paul Wrintmore, Rich Collins and Lewis Yerbury all completed the route in just under 5 hours which allowed a short pitstop for refreshments!
“Melksham Motor Spares’ customers and suppliers as well as family, friends and work colleagues rose to the occasion again and have so far generously pledged close to £2,000, which is an amazing figure and brings the overall total raised by the company this year to £5,000.”
Organiser, Ben Gale said, “The weather was perfect and it was a thoroughly enjoyable and successful day. Everyone who has supported the company’s fundraising efforts this year have been incredible; we can’t thank them all enough. I am so pleased to have been able to help raise money for such a brilliant charity.”
