A NEW contemporary choir in Melksham already has over 20 members but is still looking for new people to join.
PSG Choirs meets at the Rachel Fowler Centre every Wednesday from 8pm to 9.30pm and each rehearsal costs £4. The choir has only recently started in Melksham, but already is a huge success.
Will Blake who runs the choir said, “In our experience, PSG always seems to attract the most fun-loving and caring people around.
“Through running the choir, we’ve realised just how much singing means to people in the local community. Whether they are there to unwind after a long day at work or just relax and make new friends – being part of such a wonderful sound is great for the soul and definitely decreases stress levels.”
The choir will host its first concert at the Rachel Fowler Centre on the 8th June, 8pm, and if you’re thinking of joining, why not pop by to see what all the fuss is about!
Will continued, “Everyone is invited to the concert! We’d love to meet new members so the choir keeps growing.
“We sing pop, soul and gospel music. Our repertoire is really varied, so includes something for everyone – from ‘Walking on Sunshine’, ‘Here Comes The Sun’ and ‘Ain’t No Mountain High Enough’ to ‘Hallelujah I Love Her So’ by Ray Charles, ‘I’m Still Standing’ and ‘California Dreamin’ by the Mamas and The Papas to gospel classics such as ‘This Little Light of Mine’ and ‘Down to the River’.
“We can’t wait to show you what we’ve been rehearsing!”
