THE Parent Teacher Association (PTA) for St George’s School in Semington, has praised the generosity and support shown by the community for Ukrainian refugees.
The group, known as The Friends of St George’s School, organised a collection point for parents at the school for items desperately needed by refugees from Ukraine affected by Russia’s invasion of their country.
A spokesperson for the group said, “The parents and children at the school donated a huge number of items, which included coats, sleeping bags, nappies, toiletries, clothing items and toys. Four full car journeys were made to the collection point at Daykin Estates in Westbury. Thank you to all the families who donated.”
