Planet Art will be launching a series of public art consultant events at King George V park splashpad opening on Saturday 3rd of August 11.00 – 4.00.
People from George Ward Gardens, former staff and pupils from George Ward School, and local residents in Melksham are encouraged to participate in the event and give their opinion and ideas for a series of public art pieces around the George Ward Gardens Persimmon Homes site.
Planet Art are running a family friendly art workshop. Children under the age of 12 are asked to be accompanied by an adult. People are encouraged to fill out the questionnaire and voice their opinion about the project. Please come and find out more about the scheme and meet the artists involved. The work has been commissioned by Persimmon Homes and being developed in partnership with the community. Further events will be taking place across the summer period then in September Planet Art will be working with local schools to develop the ideas.
