THE recently formed Queensway Community Group (formerly Queensway T.A.R.A.) has just carried out its first litter pick in the area.
Eleven volunteers, including three children, undertook this clean-up, collecting eight bags of rubbish from a comparatively small area. The pick was kindly supported by Jessica Sabbins of McDonalds who supplied the necessary equipment. One of the suggestions put forward to the community group is a litter pick on a regular basis.
The groups says, “We would welcome any suggestion from the community on what you would like to see happening in your community and make it a great place to live.”

The next meeting is on 4th September at Rowley Place at 7.00pm.
