The new Read Easy Melksham group held its first AGM which was well attended by several of its sponsors, venue holders, coaches, the Mayor, cllr Terri Welch and the committee.
The group reports, “After welcoming everyone to Queensway Chapel, our Chairman, Mr David Williams gave an excellent presentation on the work of the committee so far, our achievements and the obstacles overcome. Our Treasurer’s account shows we have a healthy working bank balance thanks to our generous sponsors.
“The following social aspect of the meeting gave everyone a chance to mingle and fortified by tea and cakes, express their continuing support for the work of Read Easy Melksham.
“Read Easy Melksham is very much ‘up and running’ now and we are actively seeking more people who struggle to read. Please remember that the service we offer is completely free, friendly and confidential.”
