A MELKSHAM man is taking on a 10x10k challenge to raise money for the testicular charity It’s In The Bag.
Robbie Newton plans to run ten 10k races in 2015 at venues all over the country and he hopes to raise £300 for charity.
For the challenge he will be running each race in a morph suit and so far Robbie has run 10k events at Longleat, Bristol and Devizes, with other races planned later this year including at Melksham and Manchester.
Robbie said, “The challenge was suggested to me by the charity themselves. I have done bits and bobs for them in the past and thought this sounded like a bit of fun. I try and do something every year for a charity.
“So far it has been tough but fun. I have done a bit of running in the past but never wearing a morph suit. I chose It’s In The Bag because my friend died of testicular cancer in 2013 and It’s In The Bag were supporting him and his family throughout his ordeal. He was also a keen fundraiser for the charity, so it felt right to carry on helping them in any way I could as a legacy to Chris.”
