THE Wessex Midsummer Vintage Show, which is now in its eighth year, will be held in Semington over the weekend of the 20th and 21st of June, from 10.00am-4.30pm on both days.
Eric Gay, chairman of the show committee said, “We have some new attractions for this year, one being heavy horses, displayed in our show ring with farm machinery from a bygone age. Why not bring an apple or carrot and make a friend for life?
“Come along and see the Aveling & Porter steam roller that worked for Barnes Brothers of Southwick, this engine laying many of the roads in and around the Trowbridge area. We have a large entry of miniature traction engines coming to Semington – vintage and classic cars, motorcycles, commercial vehicles, vintage tractors and horticultural machinery, along with stationary engines driving a variety of vintage machinery.”
As well as providing lots of interest for all vintage vehicle enthusiasts, the show includes a craft marquee and quad bikes and funfair rides for children, with something for all the family.
Entrance fee is £5 for an adult and children under 14 go free. For more information call 01225 754374.
