MELKSHAM Seniors 55+ Forum will be showing Rocketman on Monday 21st October at Melksham Assembly Hall.
Set to his most beloved songs, this is the epic musical story of Elton John, his breakthrough years in the 1970s and his fantastic transformation from shy piano prodigy to international superstar starring Taron Egerton as Elton John. The film starts at 1.30pm.
The next film is What a Girl Wants on Monday 18th November.
The Seniors 55+ Forum host weekly Thursday morning meetings at the Riverside Club and monthly meetings at the Forest Community Centre.
The group secretary reports, “We are an organisation run by Senior volunteers for the benefit of all residents of Melksham and district area over 55. We need your input and help! Tell us what activities you would like to see offered by the club. What are you interested in? What in your daily life concerns you or do you need help with? “Our Socialise ‘n Shop programme is doing well, with new members and new businesses signing up. So, if you would like the benefits of discounts from local shops, please sign up for an ID card. We meet at the Riverside Club every Thursday morning from 10.30am ‘til 12.30pm and have a varied programme of events. Come along and tell us what you would like to do. Forms will be available for you to let us know your suggestions. Refreshments provided.
