LOWDEN Garden Centre has been recognised as one of the top 25 Gourmet Garden Centres for food in the United Kingdom by The Telegraph.
The garden centre in Shaw was praised by the national newspaper which highlighted the best eateries at garden centres across the country.
The Telegraph’s review said, “Lowden Garden Centre is an open plan, homely place for a spot of lunch. There’s great coffee and a choice of inspiring soups, quiches and light lunches with fresh herb salads and seasonal local veg. You can even have a glass of Prosecco. Perch on stools at rustic tables, or chill out on conservatory furniture. Don’t miss the farm shop.”
Emma Townley from the garden centre said, “To be recognised as one of the top 25 foodie garden centres has given all of us a real boost here at Lowden. It’s a national newspaper and business competition is great out there, so this has really reinforced our commitment to provide the best quality food in our restaurant and farm shop. We employ local staff and purchase everything as local as possible, and we really hope that all this helps to put a little bit of Melksham on the map.
“Jonathan, Alison and all the staff at Lowden were absolutely delighted to see their efforts recognised nationally.”
