Melksham music lovers are in for a nostalgic treat this month as iconic sixties band The Dreamers, formerly Freddie and The Dreamers, take to the stage at the Assembly Hall. .
The show, on Friday 13th December at 7:30pm, promises an unforgettable evening of classic hits, hilarious anecdotes and stellar musicianship.
Known for their chart-topping hits like “If You Gotta Make a Fool of Somebody”, “I’m Telling You Now”, “You Were Made for Me”, and “I Understand”, The Dreamers were a driving force in the vibrant sixties music scene. With their roots in the legendary British Invasion that brought sixties rock and roll to the world, they have graced stages as prestigious as Madison Square Garden and performed alongside luminaries like Gerry and The Pacemakers and The Searchers.
While the lineup has evolved over the years, Alan Mosca, a band member for over 45 years, remains a cornerstone of The Dreamers. A charismatic storyteller, Alan will delight fans with personal tales from decades of touring, TV appearances and unforgettable moments from the band’s heyday.
Joining Alan on stage are Steve and Colin Temple, seasoned professionals offering their unique harmonies and musicianship, and Nick Walker, a versatile musician known for his Buddy Holly tribute performances. Together, they will bring the classic sounds of The Dreamers, blending the best of the sixties with rock-and-roll staples from the fifties.
