MELKSHAM Carnival’s Spot the Oddity competition is back.
The competition, that runs until 6th September, challenges people to spot an item in the window of each participating business, which is ‘odd’ – and not something they would normally sell.
“For instance, a charity shop may have a tin of tuna!” said Melksham Carnival’s Beth Dark.
“Participants can find the list of participating businesses on our Facebook page, or pop into Edwards Stationery in the town centre (near the mini roundabout) to get a printed copy.
“They can drop off their completed printed entry with their name and contact number, into the Town Hall, or copy and paste the list on to a mobile device, complete it and return it, adding their contact details, to the Melksham Carnival Facebook page via the private message option.
“It’s completely free to enter this year, to businesses and participants, as our gift to Melksham, in appreciation of the amazing support we have had over the years.
“There is a crisp £20 note for the person or team with the most correct entries!”
