AN open meeting is to take place regarding the churchyard of St Andrew’s Church.
The meeting will be held on Friday 31st October at 7pm. Chris Pickett said, “Following the much talked about issue on cemetery care in the town I invite everyone.
“The hope is that we can plan the continuous care of the area so that it is both a peaceful and pleasant place to visit by family and friends of those who have been laid to rest in our grounds. The evening will be with refreshments and an opportunity for people to chat and speak out as well as to understand the legal aspects of graveyards and its use, along with the importance of maintaining the graves and memorial stones in order that we respect the memory of those gone before us.”
