MELKSHAM Assembly Hall was brought to life over the bank holiday weekend as people came in their hundreds to the town’s popular annual convention, Comic Con.
Around 1,000 people passed through the doors and they weren’t disappointed. Both the Assembly Hall and the Town Hall were packed with artists, workshops, games and panels to keep everyone entertained over the entire weekend.
Organiser, town councillor and owner of Komix!, Hayley Spencer said, “It was a great weekend and we hope everyone enjoyed it as much as we did. The costumes this year were a lot more elaborate which was brilliant as it creates such a great atmosphere for everyone. There were some excellent costumes, we love seeing how much effort people go to.
“We had lots of visitors from far and wide who said how much fun they had. It’s an opportunity to show people how talented our community is and what it’s capable of.
“So many local people supported the event and we’re so grateful to them all for the time they gave. We are already planning next year’s convention and we’re hoping it will be bigger and better as it’s our 5th anniversary. We hope to see everyone next year plus some new faces.”
