MELKSHAM Seniors is screening two movies in July at the Assembly Hall for its ‘Monday Movies’ sessions.
On Monday 4th July, the film will be comedy-drama ‘The Duke’, starring Jim Broadbent.
The film is set in 1961, and is about Kempton Bunton, a 60-year-old taxi driver, who steals Goya’s portrait of the Duke of Wellington from the National Gallery in London.
On Monday 18th July the group will be screening ‘Magic in the Moonlight’, a film written and directed by Woody Allen; starring Colin Firth and Emma Stone.
The romantic-comedy is about an English illusionist who is called upon to unveil a possibly fraudulent mystic, but events take a turn when he actually ends up falling in love with her.
For both screenings, doors open at 1.30pm and films start at 2pm.
