THREE roads in Melksham will close later this month for road works.
Wiltshire Council has given notice that parts of Granville Road, Portman Road and Riverside Drive in Melksham will temporarily close in the coming weeks.
Granville Road from its junction with A350 to where it meets with Riverside Drive and Portman Road from its junction with Granville Road to its junction with Riverside Drive, as well as the entire length of Riverside Drive will all temporarily close on September 30th.
The closures will allow Wiltshire Council to lay “micro-asphalt”, adjust ironwork and reinstall road markings, which will take until October 1, 2021.
The works were originally slated to take place on September 14th but have been delayed. No alternative route has been given by the council, but the closures will be clearly indicated by traffic signs.
