MELKSHAM’S Jack Meakin took two 8th place finishes at Silverstone this month in the Junior Saloon Car Championship (JSCC) – his second race meeting of the series.
The JSCC has the biggest junior car racing grids in the UK – 30 cars qualified for the races, which were held over the weekend of 21st and 22nd August.
16-year-old Jack said, “I’ve had a solid start to cars after moving from karts and I know that there is still a lot more to come from me as I begin to look to 2022 and beyond. One of my goals is to build partnerships with local businesses as I progress my career in racing and I want to take people with me!”
Jack secured his place on Westbourne Motorsport’s Driver Development programme earlier this year and will join the Motorsport UK Academy in September, having been selected to study for an Enhanced Diploma in Sporting Excellence at Loughborough College.
Jack will race Donington Park, Brands Hatch and Pembrey later this year.
