MELKSHAM Town Council held a town tidy day, in an effort to continue their war against plastic, on Sunday 13th May, with over 50 volunteers joining forces.
The event also coincided with ‘The Great Plastic Pick Up’, joining communities across the UK in a national campaign to clear streets and green spaces of plastic litter and recycle everything collected where possible.
Melksham Town Council said, “A huge thank you to everybody who gave up their afternoon; the Brownies and Scouts, regular Tidy Team volunteers, Melksham Bloomers, councillors and everyone else, an amazing job. Thank you all very very much.”
Look out for more town tidy days in the future to do your bit towards the ‘War on Plastic’ in Melksham.
