RESIDENTS from Hazelwood Road have continued with their project to enhance Brunswick Park.
Last week, volunteers installed new planters, bird boxes and bat boxes to encourage local wildlife. The work follows on from last summer when the team replaced the overgrown and dangerous pathways with a brand new path.
Chair of the Friends of Brunswick Park group, Tracy Haslam, who was given a Civic Award for last year’s work said, “Since last summer we have planted 1,000 bulbs and painted the fence around the children’s play area, with all materials supplied by landscaping company idverde.
“Regarding the Civic Award, I would like to say that the award was for the whole team, not just myself. It truly was a team effort on behalf of all the residents.”
