THE Pig and Whistle pub has a bumper Easter weekend planned, its monthly bike meet, and another themed food night coming up in the weeks ahead.
No plans for the Easter holiday weekend? Well the Pig and Whistle has got you covered with a weekend full of fun for everyone.
On Friday 15th April, the pub is hosting a ‘large Easter meat draw’. Tickets cost £1 each and the draw will be held at 7pm.
On Saturday 16th April, the pub has several Easter Egg hunts for children to enjoy. For children aged 0 to 4, the hunt begins at 10am; for children aged 5 to 8, it’s 12pm; and children aged 9 to 11, it’s 2pm. The Easter bunny will also be there for a meet and greet with the children.
They also have their charity breakfast club on Saturday 16th April, from 9.30am to 2pm. And rounding off the weekend on Sunday 17th April is an Easter disco from 5pm to 9pm.
“Throughout the year we hold charity breakfast clubs to raise money and awareness for local groups,” says the pub. “We will also have our trolley open for collecting any non-perishable goods to pass on to the local food bank. We will donate £1 per full English sold – the money is donated to a new charity each month. Tea and coffee is available for a donation. So join us for a full English or just a breakfast bap (veggie and kids’ options available) and a catch up.”
On Thursday 21st April the pub is hosting its monthly bike meet for all 2 wheeler enthusiasts, from 7pm to 9pm. The bike meet is held on the third Thursday of each month.
The pub says, “Come on down to chat about all things bikes, grab a bite to eat, a beverage or just a chance to get out on your bike for a social. For more information please get in contact with The Pig: info@pigandwhistlemelksham.co.uk.”
On Wednesday 27th April, from 5pm to 8pm, the pub is hosting a themed food night. Keep an eye on the pub’s Facebook page for details of this month’s theme.
“On the last Wednesday of every month we will be having a themed food night,” says the pub, “with a different country each month. Booking is advised.”
