Whitley Golf Club will celebrate its 25th anniversary with a Family Fun Day and Novelty Dog Show this Saturday, 12th May, starting at 11am.
Visitors can enjoy a wide range of stalls selling cakes, preserves and plants and a tombola bottle stall.
Children’s activities include bouncy castle, face painting as well as junior golf lessons with the club professional. A hog roast is available from mid-day and the afternoon features a novelty dog show with classes open to young and old. Rosettes will be awarded to the first six in every class. There will be an open dog scurry challenge and other skill tests.
The anniversary has been marked with improvements to the club house. The club committee plans to provide extra equipment and facilities for members and pay-to-play visitors who enjoy the friendly atmosphere.
The club has a testing and enjoyable 9-hole course and driving range. Golf clubs, trolleys and a buggy are available for hire. The club professional offers individual and group lessons.
Entry to the Family Fun Day is free, as is the ample car parking.
