Among the last few competitions of the year for gymnasts from Wiltshire School of Gymnastics, included the Wiltshire Grades.
These gradings take place twice a year. The grades include set skills on all four pieces of apparatus.
The gymnasts can achieve either a pass mark of 42.00 or for the really good gymnasts a distinction of 48.00. There are five grades the gymnasts must complete starting at 4, then 3, 2, 1 and pre level.
The girls from the Wiltshire School of Gymnastics in Melksham had a good competition.
Pre Level – Katie Hobden achieved a pass
Grade 3 – Hattie Fordred achieved a distinction
Grade 2: Melody Collins and Hanna Bush both achieved a pass.
Grade 1: Sophie Wilson and Jessica Tait achieved a pass while Kiera Lewis achieved a distinction.
West Country League Finals: The weekend of 21st and 22nd November saw the third match and final competition of the West Country League 2015. This two-day event attracts gymnast from the south west and Wales.
Wiltshire School of Gymnastics had three teams in the event all coming away with medals.
The West Country League consists of three matches held throughout the year (June, October and November.) Each team must compete in at least two out of the three matches, it is then the team with the most points from the results of their highest two matches. There are five divisions, and within those divisions there are three leagues based on age and ability.
The School had a very successful weekend taking many medals and trophies.
