Women’s rugby in Melksham marked International Women’s Day with special showcase games at Oakfield Stadium.
Nearly 70 players represented the women’s and girls’ section on Sunday 8th March.
Melksham Ladies played Drybrook Ladies, while the Under-12 Fawns faced Royal Wootton Bassett, the Under-16s played Tetbury, and the Under-14s took part in a special training session.
Ladies Head Coach Hannah Berrely said, “I am incredibly proud of our section today. What an amazing sight, having so much women’s and girls’ rugby on display. Three thrilling games were played and nearly 70 of us representing the club, all at our home ground. I can’t think of a better way to celebrate International Women’s Day.”
