FOREST Friends have raised £1,000 from its recent Bunny Hop to improve the library at Forest & Sandridge School.
A spokesperson for the group said, “We would like to thank all who sponsored the children. We raised an incredible £1,000 towards the library project. We were blown away by the generosity of the community and we’re so proud of the children for all their hard work hopping.”
The fundraising group is encouraging people to ‘save the date’ for the school’s Summer Fayre on 15th July.
They have also organised a visit from GlamoRose cake van on Friday 10th June, from 3pm to 4.30pm in the Forest and Sandridge Primary School car park.
The group’s spokesperson said, “They will be serving a wide range of delicious cupcakes, traybakes, tiffin, brownies with vegan and gluten free options too. We are very excited to try the delicious treats they have on offer. GlamoRose are generously donating a portion of the proceeds made on the day to Forest Friends.”
