THE increasingly popular Great Chalfield 10k run will return on Thursday 29th June and is probably the most picturesque 10 kilometre course in Wiltshire.
The race starts on the Common in Broughton Gifford and takes runners on an undulating route over a certified accurate course passing Great Chalfield Manor at around seven kilometres.
There are trophies on offer to the leading runners and has course records of 32:42 for Men set by Simon Nott of Calne Running club at last year’s race and 37:36 for the ladies set by Ruth Barnes of Avon Valley Runners in 2015.
The race, organised by Stampede Sports, raises funds for Broughton Gifford and Holt Scout Group, and has reached its entry limit of 300 runners every year in advance of race day. To sign up please visit www.stampedesports.co.uk
