A Melksham charity shop is helping the Teletubbies to keep youngsters entertained during the summer holidays, whilst raising vital funds for vulnerable children at the same time.
A new range of exclusive merchandise is available at the Barnardo’s store in Verbena Court, behind the Water Meadow restaurant.
The limited-edition selection includes stickers, key rings, wristbands, headbands and pens featuring Tinky Winky, Dipsy, Laa-Laa and Po.
The money raised will support some of the UK’s most vulnerable and disadvantaged children and young people.
Barnardo’s Melksham store manager Helen West said, “We’re delighted to offer such a colourful and fun range of products featuring the lovable and iconic Teletubbies.
“One hundred per cent of the profits from these products will go to supporting and improving the lives of some of the most vulnerable children and young people in the UK.
“By simply buying a key ring, stickers or headbands, you’ll not only impress the kids, but will also make a huge difference to other children’s lives.”
Helen added, “Of course, anyone popping in for a look may also want to use the opportunity to clear out their cupboards and wardrobes. We always welcome donations of good-quality clothes, books, toys, games, accessories and bric-a-brac – as well as offers of help from potential volunteers.”
The Barnardo’s store in Melksham is open Monday-Saturday from 9am-5.30pm. Call (01225) 436806.
