Wiltshire School of Gymnastics, based at Bowerhill, have been very busy recently, with a number of events before things quieten down for the summer holidays.
The Daphne Leeworthy Cup was held on Sunday 21st June at the City of Bristol Gymnastics Centre.
This is a regional competition for children aged 12 and over. There are three age categories (Espoir 12/13, Junior 14/15 and Senior 16+). WSG had three girls competing against a strong field of gymnasts from across the south west.
Espoir results: Jessica Daykin aged 13 fifth overall and Nicole Parsons – aged 12 silver on vault.
Junior results: Robyn Ellison aged 14 – sixth overall, bronze on vault and gold on bars.
The Wiltshire School of Gymnastics in Melksham hosted the Wiltshire Levels competition on Sunday 28th June.
This is a voluntary competition aimed at gymnasts aged eight years and older. The gymnasts compete in different levels depending on their age and ability. They start at Level 5, then progress to Level 4, Level 3 and finish at Level 2 which is the highest level they can compete in.

Level 5 – 13/14 years: Thea Wakeham – 1st; Emily Young – 2nd; Alex Purbrick – 5th; Emily Lloyd – 8th
Level 4 – 10/11 years: Violet Browne – 1st; Caitlin Mander – 2nd
Level 4 – 12+ years: Erin Vincent – 1st; Holly Gaiger – 3rd
Level 3 – 10 years: Hannah Griffin – 1st
