All of Aloeric Primary School were excited to witness the largest solar eclipse since 1999 on Friday morning 20th March.
The children had been learning about eclipse in the run up to the day and it was a great experience that generated great questions and understanding.
The school supplied eclipse viewers for all children in the school so they could experience this amazing event.
The morning started cloudy and both children and teachers were disappointed, as they could only see glimpses of the sun, but as the morning developed, the clouds passed and the whole school were able to see fantastic views of the eclipse.
The sun looked like it had a massive smile and this was mirrored in the children’s faces.
The children filmed the event, and took the temperature as eclipse passed and had an experience they will never forget.
