MELKSHAM man Philip Runggaldier has recently released two e.books following his discovery of the world’s most destructive megaflood and an image of Atlantis.
The main findings of his research is outlined in the two books; Atlantis and the Biblical Flood: The evidence at last? and The Forgotten Atlantis? Both are on sale now.
Philip, who is a geography graduate, spent seven years investigating and gathering evidence and five years ago compiled everything into the book.
He said, “It began a long time ago when I purchased a very detailed atlas. My eye was drawn to the Celtic Sea (that area of ocean lying between southeast Ireland and Cornwall). It showed a number of evenly spaced sandbanks all running northeast to southwest. Their orientation, number and even spacing suggested they could only have been formed by a huge flood. So I started investigating and was amazed by what I found.
“New evidence shows that, around 14,700 years ago, a megaflood smashed into coastal Wales, the West Country and southeast Ireland, killing an estimated 75% of its Stone Age inhabitants.
“The deluge is recorded in Welsh and Irish myth and is thought to have been Britain and Ireland’s worst natural disaster and the source of the Biblical Flood. It also inundated the dry Celtic Plain (the area now lying submerged between Cornwall and Ireland).
“Reconstructions show the presence of an ancient landscape that bears a remarkable match with the physical description of Plato’s Atlantis. Rings, a canal and embankments are all present. It makes it the leading theory on the location of Atlantis.”
