A LOCAL woman is set to take on the Bath Half Marathon and hopes to raise £1,000 for Muscular Dystrophy.
Cheryl Milner is running her first half marathon on Sunday 2nd March and has given up alcohol until after the race and stepped up her training. Cheryl said, “I have gone from zero to eight miles currently – I am not a natural runner, actually I hate it, but I am determined to complete the 13.1 miles!
“My heart is set on raising money for Muscular Dystrophy. I have had some great support from family and friends. I have been exceptionally lucky having some fantastic motivational running partners – who have put up with my moaning!”
“I am aware of the charity due to one of my friend’s son having this condition and wanted to do something to support the worthy cause. I would love to raise £1,000 and would appreciate any support anyone can give.”
The Muscular Dystrophy Campaign has been supporting families affected by muscle-wasting conditions since 1959, fighting to funding research for effective treatments and cures, as well as providing free care and support to individuals and families affected by muscle-wasting conditions”
