On winning the toss, Beanacre/Melksham Cricket Club had no hesitation in batting, but were soon regretting their decision as they lost two quick wickets with only 10 on the board.
The innings was rebuilt by a 3rd wicket partnership of 57 between Clive Bailey (17) and AJ Hobbs, before Bailey departed.
With Dean Wallington joining Hobbs, the ball soon started to cross the boundary on regular intervals as the pair built a partnership of 141 off 20 overs. Wallington departed in the final over for 80, but Hobbs remained unbeaten for an excellent 76. The BMCC Innings closed on 208 for 4.
Seagry also lost a quick wicket when they batted, but their 2nd wicket partnership of 90 between Hunt (38) and Lewis appeared to be turning the game Seagry’s way. Once Hunt departed, wickets started to fall at regular intervals and the hosts could sense victory once Lewis was 4th out for 66.
It was left to Wallington to wrap up victory with 5 for 11 off 5.3 overs which included a hat trick.
