Having been asked to bat the home side got off to a slow start being reduced to 8/1 off 5 overs.
The innings was built around the second wicket partnership of 63 between Steve Rendell (30) and Ben Brown (29), unfortunately only Courtney Earl (52) was able to push on in the face of some accurate bowling. Crucially the last 10 overs only produced 18 runs as the innings disappointingly closed on 167, Carter, Edwards and Knight all taking 3 wickets.
Bradford’s innings followed a similar route to that of the home sides, but crucially they started to build some partnerships, with the innings of S.Richards. He put on 34 for the 3rd wicket with Vooght (19) and 115 for the 4th wicket with Matt Harrington (26).
Bradford reached their target in the 44th over with Richards undefeated on 74.
