RESIDENTS in Melksham’s Gloucester Square looked on in amazement as around 40 bikers descended on the small close.
The motorcyclists were there to pay their respects and to follow the hearse of their late friend Alan Drage who lived in Gloucester Square. The impressive sight of so many motorbikes lining-up and following the funeral procession to Semington Crematorium caused many residents to take to the streets and watch the impressive convoy as it moved towards Semington.
Alan Drage was a popular figure locally, having lived in Melksham for over 40 years and was a keen biker. His wife Lynn said, “It’s amazing to see so many people come out with their bikes. Alan would have absolutely loved this, it really is something special and I’m very grateful everyone’s here.”
