Dorothy House Hospice Care is running its biggest annual charity Christmas Tree Collection fundraiser in partnership with the Justhelping charity.
Dorothy House supporters and volunteers will pick up real Christmas trees for a charitable donation between 10th-12th January 2020 in 13 local postcodes including SN12 – Melksham.
In January 2019 the Hospice’s Christmas Tree Collection doubled the funds raised to £26,000 and they hope to increase this sum in January 2020.
Taking part is easy, visit www.charityxmastreecollec tion.com type in your postcode to check that your area is covered, make a donation and list where your tree will be located. Dorothy House asks for a donation to help fund the specialist palliative and end of life care services provided by the hospice free of charge.
All trees must be clearly marked with a label saying ‘Dorothy House’ and trees can be collected from businesses, schools, churches and homes. A percentage of trees will be chipped and shredded to make reusable materials for the community.

Eligible postcodes for the January 2020 Christmas tree collection are BA1, BA2, BA3, BA4, BA11, BA12, BA13, BA14, BA15, SN12, SN13, SN14 and SN15.
Dorothy House are offering a limited capacity collection which relies on volunteers and local businesses, so please get in touch if you’d like to support the hospice by providing a van or lorry or offering your time as a volunteer.
