A budding young photographer had the chance to visit the Melksham News office last month to learn how to edit a photograph he took of the Melksham Campus.
Frazier Cousins, aged 12, was invited by Melksham News’ photography lead, Joe McCann, after his mother sent in Frazier’s image.
Frazier said, “As we were making our way to Melksham to meet a friend, the sky was a mysterious red, and I just had to take a picture when we got to the campus as it looked really spooky.”
Joe said, “Giving an insight to young photographers is something I love doing so I was pleased to invite Frazier to our offices to learn more about what we do. There is such a wealth of artistic talent locally. Having Frazier be able to get hands-on with some of the equipment we use and also be shown how to edit his shot was really special, then to see him produce the finished image was great.”
Frazier’s mum, Suzanne Cousins, said, “Frazier loves to take pictures wherever he goes and tries to get the best picture he can of an event, or even a tree! He had a great time and was really interested in what Melksham News do, so much so- he has now asked me to buy him a camera!”
Frazier added, “One day I would like to make an album of all the pictures I have taken and keep them for memories, as landscapes change so quickly.”
