Local residents flocked to Leekes home department store over the bank holiday to see TV chef, Peter Sidwell, in action.
The celebrity chef and host of ITV’s ‘Britain’s Best Bakery’ showed off his culinary skills to a packed audience at Leekes, Melksham. And customers even got the chance to sample Peter Sidwell’s delicious dishes.
Speaking at the event, Peter said, “It has been a pleasure meeting the people of Melksham today. Everyone was really enthusiastic about the food and I hope that they try out some of what they have seen at home.”
Matt Gelder, manager at Leekes Melksham said, “Peter Sidwell was a delight to have at the store. He was very warm and friendly with the customers and, of course, the food was incredible.
“We have had lots of great feedback and, from the questions asked on the day, I’m sure Melksham residents will be inspired so cook up some treats of their own.”
In between the demonstrations, one lucky shopper received £250 worth of Leekes vouchers with the Heart Angels and their ‘Winning Whirlwind’.
