
THE American comic Rich Hall is set to play Melksham’s Assembly Hall on 21st March as part of his 2014 nationwide tour.
Famed for his grouchy deadpan style, Rich Hall is widely recognised as the master of absurdist irony and quick fire wit. A winner of major awards at both the prestigious Edinburgh and Melbourne Comedy Festivals, Rich is well known in the UK for his television and radio work including appearances on ‘Stand Up for the Week’ (Channel 4); ‘QI’ (BBC1/2); ‘Live at the Apollo’ (BBC1); ‘Have I Got News for You?’ (BBC1); ‘Never Mind the Buzzcocks’ (BBC2) and Channel 4’s ‘Comedy Gala Live at the O2’.
In addition, Rich is the star of the critically acclaimed TV documentaries ‘How the West was Lost’; ‘Rich Hall’s The Dirty South’; ‘Rich Hall’s Continental Drifters’; ‘Rich Hall’s Cattle Drive’; and ‘Rich Hall’s Gone Fishing’.
The ability to attract such a well known international comedian to Melksham as part of his 2014 nationwide tour is evidence of the assembly hall’s growing reputation for hosting comedy, and provides a wonderful opportunity for the local community to enjoy what is sure to be a fantastic night of fun – all delivered in Rich Hall’s own inimitable style!
