THERE’S non-stop entertainment at Melksham Assembly Hall with enthralling new shows and live music coming up over the next month.
On Thursday 9th November, Status Quo fans can look forward to a night packed full of all the hits with tribute band, The Quo Experience.
The Quo Experience is an East Anglian-based band with an impressively experienced line-up including Shaun Michaels (as Francis Rossi) and Dave Crawte (as Rick Parfitt), who have both featured in quality ‘Quo tribute’ acts in the past. Shaun and Dave have spent years studying every detail of Rossi and Parfitt’s looks, playing styles and stage performances to make sure they are both as close to the real thing on stage as is possible. Tickets cost £20, concessions £18. Show starts at 7.30pm.
On Friday 10th November, will see the return of the excellent tribute show, The Big ‘O’ & The Wilburys Tribute Show, showcasing the music of Roy Orbison and the Travelling Wilburys.
This long-awaited tribute to one of the most instantly recognisable and popular bands of the late Eighties is simply a must for any venue. Totally unique in content and style “The Big O & The Wilburys” tribute show will be an instant hit with any audience.
Tickets sold very well last time the show came to town and interest has already been shown, so get your tickets early to avoid disappointment! Tickets £20. Show starts at 7.30pm.
On Saturday 18th November, join Melksham Rock & Roll club at the Assembly Hall with live music from The Kingcats, vintage and DJ support. Don’t miss this incredible night of Rock ‘N’ Roll in Melksham.
On Friday 24th November join Dodgy Acoustic with band members Nigel Clark, Andy Miller and Stu Thoy as they perform a series of intimate acoustic shows playing stripped back version of Dodgy classics, delving into the Dodgy vaults and unearthing forgotten gems. Delivering songs with stories of life on the road – stories from one of the UK’s most active touring bands.
Dodgy frontman, Nigel Clark, said, “Dodgy have always loved acoustic shows, the songs are written and rehearsed in acoustic format but they rock and we are loud – this is a chance to hear the songs in their melodic, harmonious glory!”
Tickets are £15 and the show starts at 7.30pm.
On Saturday 25th November Melksham Assembly Hall are hosting a Roller Disco!
Let’s get those skates back on and get back down to the Assembly Hall. With skate hire available, and friendly skate marshals and instructors on hand to help. They ask that you please quote your show size when enquiring/purchasing tickets. Skate sizes range from junior 11-Adult 12.
There will be two family sessions running between 4.00pm-5.30pm and 6.00pm-7.30pm. These will then be followed by an adult only session from 8.00pm-10.00pm. Tickets are £6.50 for the family sessions and £8.50 for the adult sessions.
