A GROUP of friends who call themselves Leash of Life are throwing a fundraiser to help support their continued work rescuing Romanian street dogs.
The group were inspired to help the dogs in Romania after hearing about 800 dogs being inhumanely killed in a shelter in 2014. Many of the dogs in the shelters are traumatised either by the treatment of the dogcatchers or by the employees of the shelter.
The group bring the dogs over from Romania and place them in foster homes, before finding them a permanent home.
The fundraiser will have lots to see and do, with a dog show as the main highlight of the day. There will also be a children’s dog show, a children’s activity corner, stalls and much more.
The event will be on Saturday 13th May from 11.00am to 4.00pm at Antonia House, 419A Semington Road, SN12 6DU. You can find out more about Leash for Life on their website http://leashoflife.co.uk/
