MELKSHAM woman, Wendy Curtis, and family members have raised over £1,400 for the RUH, Bath, in memory of Wendy’s husband, Christopher,
Wendy said, “I would like to thank all friends and neighbours who have enabled my two daughters, Amanda and Charlotte, and granddaughters Gemma and Jasmine, and myself to raise over £1,400 (at the time of writing, money is still coming in) for the Respiratory Ward at the RUH in memory of my husband Christopher, who the staff looked after compassionately and tirelessly at the end of his life late last year.
“Their care and concern for our large family, coming from several parts of the country too, was faultless.
“As this year’s Walk of Life was also able to be done in bite size pieces, I was thrilled to be able to take part, including joining in with a piece of Amanda and Gemma’s full marathon along the Kennet and Avon canal tow path between Bishops Cannings and Bath.”
This year’s Walk of Life event for the RUH Forever Friends Appeal invited supporters to take on a 10, 16 or 26.2 mile challenge during September.
