FANS of veteran entertainer Des O’Connor were pleased when he posed for photograph with them after his show at Melksham Assembly Hall recently.
Des fan Kathy Iles said, “My husband, Matt, and I bought tickets to see Des for my mum for her 87th birthday and went with her to see him.
“I grew up with Des on the TV, he’s one of the great household names of my youth.
“My mum was very excited to be in the front row. I think he did amazingly well for 83 years old; to do a two-hour show and then to stand for an hour outside and chat to everyone who’d waited to see him was far beyond what could have been expected.
“We all thoroughly enjoyed his show, he is still funny and was very entertaining.”
The popular comedian, broadcaster, singer, and former chat show host has been performing for nearly 60 years.
