Sheila Jackson of Melksham Speakers said, “Those who are members of a speakers club will get compliments on their personality, their good manners and their overall appearance as well as how they approach their work.
“They will also not shy away from getting up and speaking when invited to do so, and because of the experience they gain by belonging to a speakers club they will do a good job.
“It is not difficult to say a few words when asked, but many people are very frightened at doing so. We show you how to control the nerves and keep your butterflies flying in formation and not going on a route march through your stomach with clogs on.
“Become an active member of Melksham Speakers and enjoy a more fulfilling way of life by having the confidence to speak with authority in all situations. We meet on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month at 7.30pm, at the Rachel Fowler Centre in the Market Place.”
