22 Cubs from eight packs across the district took part in the annual Chess Tournament which was held on Sunday 16th October at Melksham Scout HQ.
The event ran throughout the day with the Cubs playing 8 games each, and most of the Cubs gained their Hobbies Activity Badge.
The District Shield was won by Southwick & North Bradley Cub Lewis Tunnel; in 2nd place was William Jackson from Southwick & North Bradley and in 3rd place also from Southwick & North Bradley Cubs was Rowan Bosworth, making it a clean sweep for the Pack.
The winner and runners- up all received a trophy and all participants received a certificate. There was some very stiff competition with a lot of thought being put into the next move.
The event was organised by Chris Broom DC who was assisted by several Leaders and parents, and the day was once again a great success and enjoyed by everyone.
